About variables
Can be used as parameters for "Name of file archive" and "Local\LAN destination for backup set". Their full list:

Local\LAN destination for backup set
Local or LAN storage. Press the "Browse for folder" button  . In "Select Folder" dialog select a folder or create a new one.
FTP server...
If you want to backup files remotely (on an FTP server), click the "FTP server..." radio button.
To choose a options of FTP connection, click the "FTP Connection" button  :
Server: Enter the name of FTP server.
Folder: To choose a remote directory where to backup your data.
Login: Enter your FTP user name.
Password: Enter your FTP password.
Passive mode: In passive mode the connection is established by your computer. This may be necessary if firewalls do not allow establishing connection from outside.
